The update was performed in 25 minutes. My USB did not include any installation instructions. Because I previously performed a USB update from the Ford website I felt comfortable with just performing the OEMUPGRADES 3.4 without having the installation instructions. I was mildly disappointed that the 3.4 did not have the Climate Control icon as the pictures show on the website. I also have a message randomly showing on start up that says “USB hubs are not supported”.
Fast easy and worth every penny
I had attempted to update maps using a usb from Ford and had a lot of issues. This upgrade from 3.0 to 3.4 and latest maps worked flawlessly in about 28 minutes.
I made the mistake of trying to download upgrade from Ford site. Unfortunately, the downgrade did not work properly and my Sync3 locked up. I took it to the local Ford dealership in Bradenton Florida and they were unable to restore the function. I had already ordered the upgrade from OEM and when it arrived I gave it a whirl and lo and behold not only did it unlock my system. It upgraded it to 3.4 as advertised couldn’t be any happier.
It took about 28 min to upload & now my whole system looks new. It was worth the money & it is more responsive than the original software. Before & After pics attached.
