9.Q:Why do I need a OBD2 programming tool?
A:This tool is for spare using for online programming,if you have changed or added some features from factory like change tire size,this can be used to correct the code.An 4'' to 8'' SYNC conversion have to use this to setup Bluetooth audio after installation.Also it can use for your future upgrades like LCD cluster upgrade,power folder mirror and error clearance etc.

After watching a Youtube video several times the removal and install was pretty easy and the install was pretty
much plug and play. The Sync 3 is clearly much better than Sync 2. The failure of the Sync 2 prompted my upgrade.

Works Great! Simple installation. Had it done in 20 Minutes!
The installation was easy(view several UTube Vids before you start). WiFi dongle needed a software update to connect-quick and easy. Steering wheel paddles needed a quick APIN module change through OBD tool Forescan(free program) and Teamviewer(freeprogram). Connected with chat tech support sent the requested session Teamviewer ID and PW then connected OBD to car and laptop sat and watched the tech fix the error. Less than 10 min. and a stop and restart the car and the tech had it all working. Quick, painless, easy.
This is a super-easy installation and it works very well. Screen quality is excellent and I now have wireless CarPlay in my 2014 Ford Escape. It’s almost like having a new car. I just wish I had known about this sooner.
I was very iffy about ordering as the price was so much cheaper then other sites especially dealerships. The radio came in just like the old one that one was removed. Same materials and legit as the OEM part. I’m convinced this is how ford gets the radios but in bulk then slaps their name on it. I got the sync 3 from sync 2 radio so I could have CarPlay and the instal was quick. The radio has worked perfect and functions the same way as one of my friends that had the sync 3 radio OEM when he got his newer vehicle.
